The Upside of Anger: Joan Allen and Kevin Costner star in this drama about loss and how people deal with difficult times. Costner plays an ex-baseball player who lives near Allen, she is a single mom with 4 daughters struggling with a few issues in her life. Both of them rely on the booze to get by. At times I thought the story was all over the place, but still got it’s point across. The characters seemed a bit hard to believe in the beginning, but as time goes on you really start to like them…..this ultimately is what made me give this film a positive review.
